Recounts Book

Kia Ora Whanau

Earlier this term ruma whitu wrote recounts all about our camp to Living Springs. We published these on our blogs and we also wrote good copies too. We decided to make a book out of our good copies and then put this book in our reading corner so we can read them whenever we want! Here is a photo of Alex and Savannah holding our book: Ruma Whitu's Awesome Camp Recounts.

If you are ever in our classroom, please grab it off the shelf and have a read!

Waste Busters

Kia Ora Koutou!

Over the past week we have been learning al about effective composting techniques! It has been loads of fun. Today, we got to make our own compost containers which included a mixture of things like worms, compost, food scraps, dead leaves and twigs, coffee, water and it was activated by a special dust made from lime. Here is a slideshow which includes photos of us making our compost containers. Feel free to make a comment.

Kia Ora Koutou!

Last week we had a special visit from Cheap Skates. They showed us how to ride roller blades, skate boards and scooters properly! They also taught us effective ways to use our new school ramps! Here are some photos from the exciting day. Enjoy!

Burnham School is open for business as usual Tuesday 14th June

Dear Burnham Whanau,

School is open tomorrow and it's business as usual. We are safe, our team is all good and we are ready for another day of great learning. Let us know if you or your family require any support.

Please join your child(ren) at school if you wish to. If you do want to come to school you might like to continue with the water blasting or weed eating we started over the weekend!

If you want your
child(ren) to stay at home with you then that is also fine - just let us know if this is the case.

Please ensure your child(ren) has a drink bottle with them.

Ka kite apopo (see you tomorrow),
Rob and the team.
